Lena Shane. A woman, a lawyer...and one of the Hundred, the army of God on Earth. And it's not just any army. Its an army of a hundred angels. It was led by the angels of Darkness and Light. And Lena just so happened to be the Angel of Darkness.
Lena lightly sat down in the darkened pews. Her eyes looked up, towards the vaulted ceilings. She bit her lip slightly. Grey eyes were contemplative. She was so worried, and was just waiting to see what else could happen. What else could go wrong, as the world was slowly going insane.

Rafe was in the Cathedral. He wasn't sure why. Actually he and was never sure why he and Jamie ever went anywhere religious if his mother wasn't nuding the hell out of him to go there.
But it was raining tonight. Raining pretty heavy too. You couldn't fly in the rain, well you could but it wasn't particurarly pleasant. So he had to duck in somehwere and the cathedral just happened to be the closest thing there.
But it was at least quiet in the cathedral. It was calm and it made him relax a little bit. It didn't seem like anyone human was near by so he didn't bother masking his apprearance. Rain water dripped of the tips of his wings as he walked into the same room as Lena not realizing it.

Lena sensed Rafe's presence almost the moment he stepped into the chapel. Like most demon's, it had its own destinct feeling to differentiate between different memebers of the same species. Or it did for her at least. She had never quite figured out if it was the same for others.

Rafe turned his head in her direction. He obviously wasn't paying attention. Someone was here ok well something. He wasn't sure who. It was hard to tell from where he was.
"And you would be?" he asked to the unknown.

She smiled in the darkness. She turned towards him and stood up. Her hands lightly rested on the pew behind her.

Rafe raised a blonde eyebrow. "Well then you'll already know that I am no angel my lady," Rafe said. He was still so stubbornly old fashioned, but then again when your mother was Katerina Sergievna Jacobs well you kind of had to be. "Are you too taking refuge from the rain?"

Lena laughed slightly. "Not hardly. I came here for a quiet place to think. My fiance has yet to learn that all night poker games are annoying, not amusing."

Rafe resited the urge to ask where this all night poker game would be. He really wasn't in the mood to get his ass kicked by a fallen angel. "I see," was all he said not really sure of what else he wanted to say.

She studied his face. Though it didn't show any emotion, she really didn't need it to. "You think I'm fallen," she realized. "Only one little problem with that thought; the fallen can't enter holy ground."

"Well to be honest I kind of get tired of having to remebmer all the rules that pertain to this so called God," Rapheal said. "So yes I did think that you were one of the fallen because well you're here, but obviously I was wrong. The only thing that I can remeber that can't enter here is a vampire."

"The fallen angel rule is the basis for the vamp rules. Actually, a lot of the vampire rules and fallen over lap. It prevents later problems. Either way," Lena said, taking her weight off her hands, "I'm am not fallen, even though my title damn near aludes to it."

"I don't care about humans," Rafe said. "They're all the same. They're all selfish, greedy and naive. Maybe I should have chosen my words more carefully, perhaps I should have said it was a good thing eve was such a moron that she would take the apple even though she shouldn't have.
"And for me to want to see heaven, I have to believe in it and if God is so damn great Lena then why do little five year olds die of cancer. So I'm sorry if I don't want to buy into your brilliant heaven."
